Description of Doll for Sale

For your enjoyment a great example of the Armand Marseille Just Me doll.  She was made in Germany during the 1920's and is their 310 mold.  She is a 10 inch example of the latter painted bisque version of the doll but is still is as cute as she can be.  Just Me was made by Armand Marseille and was initially distributed in the US by George Borgfeldt but the Vogue doll company latter took over US sales of Just Me.  Just Me is wearing her original vintage dress, shoes and socks and has her original hair ribbon. Her shoes still have their pompoms which are often missing.

Just Me is an interesting step in the evolution of dolls in the early 20th century.  Some view Just Me as a "dress me" doll that was a follow on to the hugely popular French Bluette.  With her large eyes some view Just me as an early Googly doll.  Others view Just Me as the predecessor and inspiration to the Patsy family of dolls.  In any case Just Me is all cuteness and joy.
